A Million Dreams Ago - 04/02/2022
This is the sort of music I imagine concerned moms and dads of the 1950’s were listening to while their rebellious teens were discovering the Devil’s music - aka rock ’n’ roll. As often before mom and dad knew better, because this is much preferable to any Bill Haley or Buddy Holly. Don’t believe me? Well these 21 gorgeous gems will prove me right -Moahaha

FORECAST - 31/12/2021
If this was a trustworthy forecast, we’d all be doomed. I think having had my ears assaulted by those overblown Dune/Blade Runner 2049 Hans Zimmer-scores has inspired me to compile yet another chilling «dystopia that awaits us, as seen from our near past-fantasy». A no budget, less pompous soundtrack with better themes and some nice songs -Moahaha

migratory birds - 12/10/2021
«Our» birds here up north have flown to their southern wintering grounds and won’t be back until spring. Nature’s own singing continental traveller perfectly illustrates this sprawling mix of mine - where I’ve put together some of my favorite music from all over Eurasia. And then some. You’ll get a Bengali devotional song followed by a Saharawi Lament, a Turkish jazzy psych-tune, some Iranian santoor, Ukranian folk, a Nigerian Reggae from Jamaica and a lively Lebanese song. And that was just from the fifth to the eleventh song! - Moahaha

It Was A Very Good Lightyear - 13/09/2021
A collection of fourteen dreams as dreamt by astronauts in deep, deep cryosleep (let’s just pretend dreaming is possible while you’re cooled down to -200 °C). In infinite space their minds fly beyond the skies and down to earth simultaneously. Human/machine, organic/mechanic, warm and cold soundscapes makes up their gently contrasting dreamscore - as imagined by Moahaha.

The Garden Party - 12/07/2021
Fifty-odd years ago an eccentric billionaire, globetrotter, collector of beautiful things and all-round degenerate throws a garden party for the ages. Strange and unrealistic things happen behind the scenes, while people dance and enjoy themselves all over the mega-mansion. Once again a little like the soundtrack to a daft movie I'd enjoy for the visuals - and love for the score. Don’t you just wish you were there?

All in the Golden Afternoon - 11/06/2021

Soulful, spiritual and spaced out oriental/occidental jazz-fusions with throbbing bassline-grooves may not be the gospel of salvation for all humankind. But it radiates warm vibes which will make you feel good and put a grin on your face. At least it has that effect on me. Enjoy! -Moahaha

Spring is here!! This surely means the much sought-after summer of 2021 is just around the corner as well. I aimed for Sunset, Sunrise to sound like your dream holiday on a paradise island of yesteryear. Looking forward whilst longing back so to speak. A dozen plus one magical tunes packed with strings, flutes, kīkākilas, vibes, kotos, bongos, congas, boo bams, gongs, whistling and humming (m.m.)... accompanied by six enchanting songs. episode 27 - perennial flowers - 05/03/2021
Here's another wilted floral grouping of largely unheard six to eight decades old «popular music», revived. Twenty-two memorable, but strangely forgotten tunes that deserve our love and attention. This time slightly melodramatic and darker-tinged oldies with only a couple of fun novelty songs added in between the haunting and the heartbreak. Mostly musical expressions that hardly exist in our vocabulary anymore. Yet to me these pre-Fab Four era gems, speak directly to the heart.

Episode 26 - celestial space inn - 05/02/2021
Jazzing through the luminiferous ether» goes the strapline... which was the title of an interesting article I never read. For several millennia ether was thought to exist everywhere in space - as a fifth element of sorts. We have now come to learn that ether is superfluous. But that’s irrelevant to this musical excursion in vivid and spirited jazz fusion packed with sizzling grooves and scattered with heavenly chants. I have no Idea what I’m talking about, but: Can you dig it?

Episode 25 - sector unit - 08/01/2021
If you fuse the future utopian concept of (Kraftwerk’s) Computer World with the subterranean dystopia of Mark of the Mole (by The Residents) and add to that a Kafkaesque bureaucratic nightmare - you’ll find yourself somewhere in the neighbourhood of Sector Unit. There’s literally tons of reasons I’d rather have my not all bright, not totally bleak distant future as seen from the early 1980’s - instead of the future we got. The matching analogue electronic score is one of them.

So let your mind wander whilst listening to this bouquet of twenty reascended tunes from when the world was young. Visit our planet’s past ports and harbours, dance and drink your way through ballrooms, jazz clubs, saloons, opium dens, bars and castles. Make a stop in some small countryside village and smell the fresh, unpolluted air. Highbrow, lowbrow, laughter or in tears - a comedy or a tragedy. It doesn’t matter as long as you’re free.

Joining forces for a second time, since the previous Polyhymnia, Moahaha and I dive into the mystical tapestry of occult whispers. Illuminating dark corners, sprinkling dust in quiet antechambers, these songs are mean't to be enjoyed in the stark, bone cold of winter. Imagine the songs themselves conjuring a little spooky warmth in the coming blackness.

Episode 21 - Monde À Part - 21/10/2020
Its been quite some time since I last unleashed a multifarious around-the-globe-in-an-hour ride upon our listeners. Soo... I guess its time for another sprawling collection of finely aged melodies that you’ve never ever heard before - originating from somewhere either east or south of… me. My semi-pretentious Godard-paraphrasing title aside, I really just hope my selection of songs will lift your spirits

Episode 19 - We travel the earthways - 11/09/2020
Musically speaking here’s one dope hour of worldjazz/psychfolk-grooves from the glorious era of corduroy bell-bottoms and swirly paisley prints. Imagine yourself in dry, earthy, sunburned landscapes riding on camels, elephants and on horseback across sand dunes, the savannah, the steppes and praries - or in a densely moist jungle, while riverboat traveling through the backwaters etc… Something like that. If any of this resembles your daily life already - just picture yourself on a reindeer sleigh ride through northern Scandinavia instead. Either way it’s the mindtrip you sorely need right now!

Episode 11: Odyssée Orientale - 27/09/2019
A trip to the «mystical orient» much like I imagined - or dreamt it was like during my early childhood days. This time around there’s no westerners replicating easterners included (I think), so I guess that makes this fictional voyage somewhat more authentic than similar previous attempts - for those of you who cares about such kinds of things. I’m mainly concerned with compiling tunes that creates the right kind of imagery and «narrative» for my hourlong sound travels.
I planned for it to slowly build in intensity from start to finish (a little like a bellydance routine) but it rather builds, and builds then slows down… and builds again. Tune in!

Episode 10: Once Upon Now!!!!! - 13/08/2019
Spiritual world jazz poetry grooves, some eastern tinged psych, epic spaghetti western suspense, a trio of modern/trad Brazilian tunes and a funeral march. Nothing new from Dream Weapons - except this time the music is in fact brand new (or five years old at the most)! Seems like there’s actually some talent out there still (a joke). Enjoy!

A Prabha Devi (☾︎) / Moahaha (♌︎) collaboration without any real plan or concept that turned out like this: Taking off in a sort of festive African, Arab & occasionally South East Asian mode. Episode 08: Sunward - 26/04/2019
Exotica tends to get lumped into the easy listening-section. But although a thing of beauty its often got a remarkably eerie and dramatic atmosphere. A lot of «serious music» is surely an easier listen… Anyway to spice things up a little extra in between all the hip beach and jungle-soundscapes I’ve managed to dig up seven wondrously exotic vintage songs for you as well. If you dig this stuff even half as much as I do, you’re in for a real treat!

Episode 07: TVEKLANG - 22/02/2019
Ten vintage analogue electro/acoustic (but not electroacoustic) tunes of shimmering beauty and dreamlike moods to set your mind adrift. Primarily.
«Tve» is Norwegian and means two-or double but as a split… like the forked tongue of a snake. Klang is similar to reverb, but the latter can’t be used in a context such as «complimentary colors forms a harmonious tveklang» - so its not exactly the same. But most of all I think it just sounds and look right for the content of this mix.

Episode 06: Xmas Delights - 17/12/2018
For years now I’ve been certain that I scraped the barrel for quality yuletide tunes the previous year. But no - there's seemingly no end to these xmas-gems if you know how and where to look. Here’s an hour of mostly folk, latin and lightly jazzy seasonal oldies. Starts off (and ends) on a somewhat (beautifully) serious note but it gets all the more festive throughout. I’ll leave you with this call from A Christmas Carol:
«Drown sorrow in a cup of wine, And let us all be merry!»

Episode 05: Drain Crystals 2 - 28/10/2018
For our 100th mix (hurrah!) we had HUGE plans but the only thing that materialised is this follow-up to the first Dream Weapons-mixtape ever posted. So here it is: approximately 20 minutes of conscientiously selected music from each - all in a Drain Crystals-mode. Which means intimate, gentle, darkly gorgeous and haunting but nevertheless strange music - covering most of those genres and styles you’ve all grown accustomed to from Sadhu Sadhu ⟡, Praha Devi ☾︎ and Moahaha ♌︎︎. episode 04: mouth of truth
On our forth mix for 20ft Radio, Moahaha and myself traveled the corners of the world in search for the mouth of truth. Our journey took us, among other places, to the buddhist monks of the ancient temples in Japan, the frosty north to visit the Sami people of Russia, warm persian nights sprinkled with lovely serenades, both to Mongolia and Altai Republic for some deep rumbeling tones of throat singing, out to the sweedish sea side to the sound of crisp folk tunes and to Haiti and its haunting Vodou and rural themes. Mouth of Truth is a sombre mix focusing on the bueaty of song and the ocational sparse instrument backing showcasing spirituals, folk, choral, a cappella and sacred songs from all over.

episode 03: curtain call
A murder mystery thriller-horror movie (with lots of nudity)-soundtrack. So here's an hour of dark grooves and stunning melodies just like in those classic 70’s giallo-films. This mix is partly made from nicking killer tunes from largely forgotten B-movies - in combination with some library music-favourites + a couple of cinematographic songs that just seemed to fit in perfectly.
