We are starting the o0series event series this Friday with the first creative couple. The evening's program includes an introduction to the first Dino statuette painted by Valentin Metyk, an electronic live performance by Emil Asadow, and a paleontological DJ set by Anthony Junkoid.
Emil Asadow is a Ukrainian composer, multi-instrumentalist, sound designer, and producer, member of Potreba Group, Digital Himalayas, and Rudnic Ore, and author of the Bestiary and Aphantasia projects. For o0series, he prepared a semi-improvisational audiovisual program, where psychedelic visuals and live interaction with space create a deep sonic immersion.
Anthony Junkoid is also preparing his musical selection for the paleontological flow and the first event of the season, having collected in his set everything that makes up our Dino's world: Mesozoic ambient, Paleozoic folk, volcanic symphonies, prehistoric suites, pterosaur screams, and scaly rustling.
It is a continuation of the previous episode of the show, flowing like a river through the vast expanses of sounds heard and captured by the signal of receivers, whispering in some places, humming in others, gurgling here, and relaxing and immersing there. The listener becomes a flower, blooming by the river flowing below along the channel, carefully listening to the tiniest vibrations of the sounds of the creatures around them.
YAQ's mix for "revealing secrets" combines layered ambient textures with more active elements, including rhythmic pulses and evolving melodic fragments.
